A real solution to America's increasingly deranged 'news media' WND Managing Editor David Kupelian on counteracting anti-Trump rage and hysteria Dear friend of WND, For those of us who grew up in Ronald Reagan's America, watching our beloved nation gradually spiral out of control is a lot like watching a loved family member make terrible decisions, or become addicted to opioids, or otherwise turn to the dark side. Because while millions of good, decent Americans rightly concluded they had "dodged a bullet" in November 2016 with the stunning and historic election of Donald Trump, saving them from the curse of a Hillary Clinton presidency, they are nevertheless appalled at the ongoing and never-ending efforts to undo the results and promise of that election, most recently via the disgraceful and frankly ridiculous impeachment sham. Let's understand what we're really dealing with here: What we cryptically call "the left" – code for a godless, revolutionary movement steeped in pathological anger and churning rebellion against America as a uniquely blessed Judeo-Christian, constitutional republic – is at war not just with the Trump administration, but with America herself. And it will use all the forces at its disposal, from the "mainstream" media and Hollywood celebrity wackos to activist courts, radical professors and vicious street violence, to discredit and block every good, sensible and desperately needed policy the current administration tries to implement. After almost three years of Trump's first term as president, we are experiencing a time of shameless lies and nonstop outrage and disruption by the desperately unhinged left, aided by the rest of our ruling class. The Democrats' impeachment farce is just the latest phase of a deeply un-American, unconstitutional, and immoral ongoing coup d'etat. But who is arguably the most important player of all in determining the outcome of what many are calling a new civil war? After all, Trump WILL NOT be removed from office by impeachment. It takes a two-thirds supermajority of U.S. senators to convict in an impeachment trial. That means as many as 19 of the current 53 Republican senators could theoretically defect to the dark side, and Trump still would not be removed from office. (All that is needed, constitutionally, is 34 votes to acquit.) Therefore, the true purpose of the impeachment charade is to poison voters, to make sure Trump loses his re-election bid to one of the lunatic Democrat presidential hopefuls next November. And who or what is most responsible for how the American voting public interprets the madness now unfolding in Washington, D.C.? The news media. As a veteran journalist, I can say unequivocally that today's "mainstream" news establishment is more unprofessional, unprincipled, unhinged, biased, lazy, dishonest, corrupt – and, in some cases, flat-out insane – than at any time during my 37 years as a newsman. And even more to the point, they're totally aligned with today's far-left Democratic Party. As I wrote in "The Marketing of Evil," in today's America "no institution is more complicit in making evil appear good and good appear evil" than the news media. For that very reason, if real America is going to ultimately prevail in this "second civil war" – if there's to be any real chance to permanently reclaim our nation, including making sure we have a free and fair election next year – one thing that is critically needed is a genuinely truth-oriented, pro-American alternative media. For 22 years, WND has been at the forefront of this movement, having in large measure launched the "real news" revolution as the first independent online news-gathering company. You read that right: Big Tech's two most urgent tasks right now are defeating Donald Trump in the 2020 election and making dissenting voices disappear. (It was recently revealed that Google and YouTube removed more than 300 Trump ads from their platforms!) They're still kicking themselves for having failed during the 2016 election, and they do not intend to make the same mistake again. Incredibly, says top Google researcher Robert Epstein Ph.D. (the former editor-in-chief of Psychology Today), Google is now poised to swing as many as 15 million votes in next year's presidential election – toward the Democratic candidate! Not if WND can help it! We need to continue to sound the alarm and expose the efforts of Big Tech to transform America into a pathetic, fearful, conflicted, obedient, politically correct progressive version of the spectacular, prosperous and uniquely free nation it was just a few decades ago when Reagan was president and it was "Morning in America." An editor for The Atlantic and a senior writer for The Root each speculated that First Lady Melania Trump has only made one public appearance in recent weeks because President Donald Trump physically assaulted her.

Rolling Stone senior writer Jamil Smith wrote on Twitter that he suspects the first lady’s public absence “could be about concealing abuse.”

Completely unmentioned by both left-wing talking heads is that the first lady underwent surgery on May 10 for an “embolization procedure” to treat a benign kidney condition.

Following her procedure, she remained at the Walter reed hospital for the duration of the week for safety precautions. When she returned home, the first lady was not seen until this past Monday, when she attended an event at the White House for Gold Star families.

In the two weeks that she was “missing,” liberals like CNN’s Brian Stelter and many others peddled utterly baseless conspiracy theories about where she was. Some leftists fueled theories that the Trumps marriage was rocky, but then others like Frum and Smith claimed the president was physically assaulting the first lady.

In response to the disgusting and highly inappropriate claims of domestic violence, media analyst Jeffrey McCall told Fox News that “it really is sad that some corners of the media world so easily engage in unsubstantiated speculation,” simply to bash the president.

“Pundits who have engaged in such wild rumoring should, indeed, apologize, but I don’t think that is likely to happen. The moral compasses of pundits who would engage in such unsupported allegations are so out of whack that a public apology would not cross their minds.”

On Wednesday morning, Trump eviscerated the “Fake News Media” for their vicious attacks on Melania, slamming liberals for pushing false theories about her whereabouts.

The media hasn’t bothered to consider or report that everyone recovers differently from surgery. They also aren’t interested in admitting that Melania has a 12-year-old son that she regularly tends to on a daily basis.

The only abuse that the Trump family are getting is from the media, who fuels any theory imaginable that can be used to attack the First Family.
