Tell Gov. LePage to Sign Maine’s GMO Labeling Law!

The Maine Right to Know GMO Labeling Campaign needs your help today! Last week, Maine’s House and Senate passed a law requiring mandatory labeling of genetically modified organisms (GMOs). But there’s one more step: We need the Governor’s signature.

Please call or email Governor Le Page today and urge him to sign LD 718, An Act to Protect Maine Food Consumers’ Right to Know about Genetically Engineered Food. You can call Governor Le Page at 207-287-3531, or email him at governor@maine.gov.

Thousands of Mainers helped make LD 718, Maine's GMO labeling bill, the most talked about issue at the Maine State House this session. Responding to consumers and the public, both the House and Senate voted to pass LD 718.  The Maine House of Representatives voted 141– 4 in favor of the bill.  The Maine Senate passed the bill with a unanimous vote of 35-0.

We need your help today to make history.  Please take action one final time and call or email Governor LePage and ask him to sign LD 718 into law to label GMO's.

Thank you to everyone who has helped get us this far. Now, let’s make the final push to make GMO labeling the law of the land in Maine!
